Regulatory barriers and solutions for business models in circular economy

In the CICAT2025 research consortium, the Department of Law at the University of Eastern Finland is studying regulatory guidance that could accelerate sustainable business operations in circular economy. This report presents the project’s study implemented with Delphi Metod in the fall of 2019. It mapped experts views on what in Finnish legislation acts to promote circular economy, what acts against it and what legislative measures are needed to make circular economy profitable and sustainable. The research was carried out by University Researcher, Adjungt Professor of Environmental Law Leila Suvantola and Postdoctoral Researcher Topi Turunen.
