THE PHOTO SERIES consists of shitty flea market finds – pieces of rubbish that were for sale at a flea market. They are seemingly useless, broken, used, and just absurd. Items like these are laughed at on the internet.

But these are also much more than that.

These items were really sold. These pieces of rubbish are model examples of the saying that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. The items were photographed when they were for sale and the selling has been confirmed afterwards with the unique bar codes.

KUVASARJAAN ON koottu kehnoja kirpputorilöytöjä – oikeasti myytävänä ollutta roskatavaraa. Esineet ovat selvästi käyttökelvottomia, rikkinäisiä, käytettyjä ja järjettömiä. Juuri niitä, joille nauretaan internetissä.

Mutta asiaan liittyy paljon muutakin.

Joku todellakin osti nämä tavarat. Ne ovat malliesimerkki siitä, että yhden roska todellakin on toisen aarre. Esineet valokuvattiin, kun ne olivat vielä myynnissä, ja myyntitapahtumat todennettiin myöhemmin viivakoodeilla.
