THE EARTH IS 4.6 billion years old. Let’s scale that down to 46 years. We’ve been here for 4 hours. Our industrial Revolution began 1 minute ago. In that single minute, human impact on the environment has caused severe changes to ecosystems, biodiversity, and natural resources. We hear about it on the news, skimming the unpleasant Headlines online while school children around the world, are the ones taking a stand for their future.
Throughout this journey, I have learned a lot about the state of our planet. That knowledge has affected me as an artist, and I want to make a difference by sharing it through the medium of art. The virtual tour of Prelude deploys work of art created during the years 2014-19, into 360 ° equirectangular panoramas. This project aims to evoke ecological awareness by using the virtual space as its platform, thus Enhancing the availability of its message.
Scientists say that we should talk about climate change with our neighbors and friends. By allowing ourselves to share our emotions and concerns, and making it a part of everyday life, we may overcome obstacles that affect our ability to act on climate. This work aims to serve as an introduction to something more important.
